Katrine Gorham, PhD, leads the atmospheric methane removal research program and scientific field building at Spark. Her work focuses on engaging with the scientific community to support the development and growth of a robust research field, with a focus on translating science into meaningful, high-impact outcomes. She has a passion for bridging scientific knowledge and action to catalyze solutions that matter. Prior to Spark, Katrine led science programs and operations across atmospheric, ecological, climate, and Arctic systems and communities, most recently for the NSF Office of Polar Programs Arctic Research Support and Logistics contract, as well as for the NSF National Ecological Observatory Network and the UC Davis Air Quality Research Center. Katrine studied atmospheric chemistry at UC Irvine (PhD ’09).
