Magdalena (Maggie) Masello, D.V.M., Ph.D.

Scientist, Livestock Enteric Methane Mitigation

Maggie Masello is an animal scientist focused on supporting the development of a strategic cross-sectoral roadmap to accelerate the development of commercial solutions addressing enteric methane. Her work includes identifying key actors and leverage points, scouting for new potential solutions and opportunities, and collaborating with science, policy, and philanthropic partners. Prior to Spark, her work focused on improving industry practices to provide abundant, humanely produced, and environmentally responsible animal products. She worked with engineers and other multidisciplinary teams across academic, pharmaceutical, and research institutions to develop innovative technologies and strategies that optimize the sustainability of livestock operations. Maggie holds a Ph.D. in Animal Science from Cornell University and a Veterinary Medicine Degree from the University of the Republic (Uruguay).
